CAKES All holiday cakes are an 8″ short size [6-8 servings].

CARAMEL APPLE TOFFEE CRUNCH:  thinking of something a little different this year? Well then, you’re reading the right description.  Our golden vanilla cake has meet a touch of autumnal spices, is filled with both a layer of caramel apple pie toffee crème filling.  Finished with our cream cheese frosting and a generous sprinkling of toffee pieces.  8″ short, $35.

THE CLASSIC: so many of you know our bakery as only one flavor combination, french vanilla cake with raspberry crème filling and signature butter frosting.  Just in case you want to serve this one at your holiday table.  8″ short, $35.

PUMPKIN VANILLA:  A vanilla bean cake layer is filled with pumpkin creme filling and brown butter frosting to make it one fantastic combination. Just enough pumpkin spice to feel like you’re a part of the holiday season at last!  Simple edible fall leaves and a touch of edible gold sparkle decorate this lovely cake.  8″ short, $35.

CHOCOLATE DELIGHT: another classic combination featuring milk chocolate cake with salted caramel vanilla bean crème filling and bourbon butter frosting.  Decorated with a fall colored floral wreath.  8″ short, $35.

MNI CUPCAKES & BRUNCH BREADS

PIE ASSORTMENT: Each dozen box will include 4 each of the following 3 flavors:

~ PUMPKIN: vanilla spice  w/ pumpkin crème filling & cream cheese frosting

~ CHERRY: classic vanilla w/ cherry crème filling & signature butter frosting

~ APPLE:  golden vanilla w/ apple pie compote crème filling & cinnamon butter frosting

HOLIDAY COOKIES, GOODIES & TREATS

ELIZABETH’S FRENCH MACARONS:   we are so excited to partner with this lovely lady again this holiday!  Elizabeth is an extremely talented macaron creator who has come up with some amazingly delicious sounding flavors.  These are naturally gluten free also!

– Box of 6 macarons, $13.  This box includes 2 of each flavor:~ Brown Butter White Chocolate ~ Pumpkin Spice Latte ~ Orange Cranberry

– Box of 12 macarons, $25.  This box includes 3 of each flavor: ~ Brown Butter White Chocolate ~ Pumpkin Spice Latte ~ Orange Cranberry ~ Salted Caramel

BROWN BUTTER PECAN COOKIES: This special recipe is usually available on our wedding dessert menu only.  Incredibly rich and decadent.  If you like butter pecan ANYTHING, you’ll love these!  Minimum order 1 baker’s dozen box, $15.

GLUTEN FREE SCONES: these treats are really more like a soft chocolate chip cookie perfect if you need to avoid gluten.   This holiday, we are adding a touch of maple flavor and some dried cherries to balance out the chocolate. *Contains almonds.   Minimum order 1 baker’s dozen box, $15.  Also available dairy free, $17 per dozen.

GINGERBREAD LEAF COOKIES: Another sweet treat we’ve taken from the recipe vault.  Our gingerbread tree cookie recipe [which you’ll see at Christmas time] is making an appearance as lovely leaves with simple white piping for decoration and touch of gold sparkle.  Minimum order 1 baker’s dozen box, $16.

PUMPKIN CAKE ROLL: This not so young anymore kiddo is creating something lovely for Thanksgiving this year and it is as good as it sounds.  Minimum order 1 slice, $4.

a change at bettersweet…

It’s not often enough that we say thank you, for the continued support and patronage of our little bakery.  We do not take lightly the honor of being a part of so many celebrations in our community!

Bettersweet has been creating custom order cakes, cupcake orders and special holiday menus for nearly 18 years.  And this year, we find ourselves in uncharted waters as two of our family members are walking though medical challenges and need continued support and care.  While we have been attempting to balance the bakery’s needs with increased care giving over the past several months, we are at a point where the first priority is our family. 

This means, we are shifting to offering only custom order cupcakes at this time.

This change will be effective on September 1st, 2024.

Here’s a few key bits of information about this change:

~ At the end of August, our cake menu will be taken off of our website and we will be rolling out a new way to order; an order form on our website!  This will allow us to collect all the information needed for your cupcake order, while keeping communication streamlined and efficient, as time has become more precious than ever before.

~ We will continue to offer our full wedding services [including cakes, cupcakes and petite desserts]. 

~ For the time being, we will continue to offer our a la carte menus via Facebook.

~ We’re not sure what this holiday season will look like, but we’ll let you know as our plans are settled. 

~ We will be offering extra large cupcakes, a size that is perfect for you to add to your cupcake order and gift/serve to whomever you are celebrating.

Fruit Fest at Bettersweet!

July is sneaking up on us here at the bakery! So is this weekend, which is our first FRUIT FEST of the summer.

If you’ve been waiting for fruit tarts- your time is now.
OUR EUROPEAN INSPIRED FRESH FRUIT TARTS. If you have not tried these before or just need a refresh: they are 4 components: sweet and flaky pastry dough, baked to a slight crisp, whipped french custard with a tiny hint of lemon, fresh fruit including raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries and a final touch of just slightly sweet but very delicious glaze dotting the fruit on top.
~ Order deadline is Friday, 6/28 at 6 pm.  You may call, email or reply to our Facebook Post.
~ Pickup is ONLY on Saturday, 6/29 between 10-2 pm. Sorry, we won’t have any ready on Friday! These will be made fresh on Friday evening after we close.
~ Payment is cash or check.
~ Please only reserve items if you can make the pickup date and time window.
~ We will not be having a weekly a la carte menu for this week, but all extra cupcakes, scraps and other treats will be out in the lobby when we are open [Thursday/Friday/Saturday].
On to the treats! Remember, these are presales, so we’ll make as many as your order… by Thursday evening at 6 pm. ?
#1. GRANDE FRUIT TART. This is our largest size with a 9? diameter and easily serves 6-8 people. $38 each.
#2. MEDIUM FRUIT TART. This is well, our medium size with a 4.5? diameter. Perfect for 2 to share. $11 each.

#3. PETITE FRUIT TARTLETS. This is a box of 4 mini tarts, or tartlets. They are about 2.25? in diameter and of course, perfect for 1. So you can share with 3 friends or you can share with your self 4 times. Box of 4, $9.

We have plenty of goodies for a little something to tangibly tell your mom, anyone who has been like a mom or your kid’s mom- how much you appreciate them.   

Picking up your order:

Saturday, 5/11 between between 10-4 pm.  Please note, only items from our special Mother’s Day menu are available to pick up on 5/11.

Placing your order:

Can be done via email, or giving us a call at 920/893.0617.  Please denote your requested pick up time and please provide a contact phone number for your order. 
We do reply to every email and voicemail we receive!  If you don’t hear back from us in 2-3 business days, please contact us to make sure we received your order.  Order deadline is Wednesday 5/8 at 8 pm.

Cakes! Enjoy a small cake or try a few different flavors!  Each of the following cakes comes in a 6″ single layer size, serving 2-3 generously.  

~ Razmon Delight:  one of our most popular signature cake starts with a raspberry vanilla batter, is filled with mascarpone lemon creme and finished with a touch of raspberry infused cream cheese frosting.  $24.   

~Peanut Square: this classic vanilla cake is filled with vanilla creme filling and frosted with our signature butter and then completely covered in freshly ground, salted Spanish peanuts. $24.  

~ Chocolate Coffee: this one is a hidden favorite on our menu! Milk chocolate cake with chocolate raspberry cappuccino creme filling and mocha butter frosting.  $22.

~ The Classic: what else could this be but french vanilla cake with raspberry compote creme filling and our signature butter frosting.  $22.

~ Cherry & Chocolate:  if you’ve had this filling, then you know why this flavor is on our menu.  Vanilla chocolate chip cake with crushed white chocolate cherry creme filling and bourbon butter frosting.  $24.

~ GLUTEN FREE, The Classic, but made gluten free!  $24.

 

Cupcakes!  We’ve brought 3 fruity cupcake flavors out of the recipe vault this year.  You also have the option to order this regular size cupcake assortment as either a half dozen box or dozen box.  The half dozen [$18] will have 2 of each flavor and the full dozen [$36] will have 4 of each flavor combination:

~ vanilla bean cupcake with strawberry rhubarb creme filling & brown butter frosting

~ fresh orange cupcake with white chocolate lavender creme filling & cream cheese frosting

~ coconut blueberry cupcake with lime curd creme filling & vanilla bean butter frosting

French Macarons: From Elizabeth @ Cedar Springs Floral Co- “Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I have had so much fun putting together this year’s macaron box! Butterflies + florals + pastels make for a beautiful spring themed box that is perfect for all the moms we know! ??”

Due to their size, the butterfly macarons pictured will only be featured in the boxes of 12, however the floral macarons will still be included in the boxes of 6.  Head to our Facebook page to see a photo of these incredible cookies.

Refreshing and addicting.  $15, 1 generous baker’s dozen box.

Heart Brownies: Our multi-chocolate recipe is cut out into hearts and decorated per Abe’s love for all things bakery!  $10 per box of 4 brownies.  

Cake Slice: vanilla cake tinted light pink with crushed chocolate creme filling and vanilla bean butter frosting.  Decorated with pretty sugar flowers and Abe’s creative touches.  $4 per slice.

Spring Cakes~
Each of the cake flavors below are available in our short 8? size.  If you need more than the 6-8 servings that a short 8? size allows- order a second cake.  Who knows, you might stumble upon a new family favorite.  

The Best Ever Carrot Cake~ It’s been a few years since we’ve highlighted this now 17 year old recipe.  Our version of this classic has walnuts, pineapple and coconut and plenty of rich cream cheese frosting to round off your celebration.  8″short-$36.  

Bird’s Nest Cake~ An Easter favorite! Milk chocolate cake is baked with tiny chocolate chips, filled with our velvety fudge crème and finished with a layer of light chocolate frosting.  The entire cake is hand piped with small ‘twigs’ and the center is indented slightly, of course to hold room for some pretty speckled chocolate eggs.  Mama bird is perched on top, as you might expect. 8? short-$34.

Bunny FaceOur most requested combination ever, that we think it can appear on every holiday menu.  Light and airy French vanilla cake is filled with raspberry compote layered with vanilla creme filling and finished with our signature butter frosting.  It will be simply frosted in a pretty pale color with a whimsical bunny face on top!  8? short-$34.

Maple Cardamom Dream Cake~ Our newest creation! Fragrant spices are infused into a golden vanilla cake.  Filled with a cinnamon sugar creme and finished with our maple butter cream.  Decorated with lovely pastel spring flowers.  8″ short-$34.  

 

Brunch Bread~ Our sweet breads are absolutely perfect for your Easter weekend brunch,  a small gift for a neighbor or a thoughtful hostess gift.  We even have a brand new flavor for you to try!  $7.50 per loaf.

Lemon Sandwich Cookies~ Sometimes we just need a cookie.  Enough said.  Always a best seller during our Christmas holiday, we’ve brought this recipe out of the vault.  Two zesty lemon shortbread cookies filled with lemon cream and topped with a candied lemon wedge and sparkly powdered sugar.  $15 per baker’s dozen box.

Monster Cookies, Easter Edition~ Margo is sneaking this recipe from the vault and creating one of our fan favorite cookies.  Filled with oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, peanuts, pastel M&M™ candies,  $8 per baker’s half dozen.  [contains peanuts]

Easter Egg Brownies~  Abe is also taking one of our favorite recipes and adding a holiday twist.  Our well known chocolate brownies are egg shaped and frosted in different pastel colors.  $7 per box of 4.
