Signature Sugar Cookie Cutouts~ What could be better than spending the afternoon with your kids or grandkids decorating cutout cookies…. probably if you didn’t have to bake the cutouts or gather the decorating supplies!  Bettersweet has put together the solution in our new sugar cookie kits.  This DIY box comes with a dozen freshly baked cutout cookies, our signature butter frosting, and six small containers of cute and festive sprinkle choices.   Minimum order 1 dozen box $13.

M’s Menu~ Our little baker in training, Margo or ‘M’, has expanded her holiday offerings this year.  Remember her incredible cake pops at the local farmer’s market this summer?  Well, she’s working on a festive version, as well as something new: chocolate dipped pretzel rods. [We are still working out the pricing and quantity that will be available.  Please inquire when ordering]

a few updates for the rest of our fall season…

~We will be posting our THANKSGIVING MENU online and sending it out via email next Tuesday, 10/29.  All of the details will be there, so if you are thinking ahead [always appreciated], we have you covered.
~Then our HOLIDAY MENU will be posted and emailed out on 11/12 [two weeks prior to Thanksgiving].  If you haven’t experienced our Holiday menu in prior years, you are in for a treat… many treats that is.  This is our busiest and most exciting season of the year.
~Our hours change from Thanksgiving through New Years.  These pick up times are firmly set so that we can professionally manage the sheer volume of holiday orders we receive.
~Bettersweet will be closed for our annual winter break from January 5th-16th.  We like to give everyone an early heads up!

As we enter into another busy summer of baking, PLEASE keep in mind that our ability to take on last minute orders drastically reduces.  You are always welcome to call or email, but please do so with understanding that we may have to say no.

We recommend a solid two weeks notice on all orders for weekends in June and July.

A couple other items:

~BSB will be closed from Thursday July 4th THROUGH Wednesday July 10th.  We will not be accepting orders for the weekend of July 5th and 6th [if we did so, we would be working on July 4th, and that is a holiday for our family as well].  We WILL BE AT THE FARMER’S MARKET on July 6th, so you are welcome to come and see what we have to offer for your weekend celebrations.

~We are offering gluten free bakery items weekly at the Elkhart Lake Farmer’s Market [Saturdays 8:30-12:30, rain or shine, downtown Elkhart Lake.  We are trying a variety of new flavors and goodies, so if you are or know someone on a GF diet, come on over!

~Surplus goodies will most likely take a break until later in the season, but know that any extras we have are ALWAYS available via our lobby table on Fridays from 1-6 pm.

~Just a general reminder that if you email or call the bakery on Saturday, Sunday or Mondays, please expect a return email or phone call on Tuesday afternoons!  We are superbly busy on Saturdays with the market and numerous weddings weekly, and we are closed on Sundays and Mondays weekly.

PEANUT SQUARE CUPCAKES…. WHAT??!!

In memory of jen’s grandmother who passed away last summer, we are making her infamous treat into a cupcake.
Over sized [perfect for sharing!] vanilla cupcakes baked in red decorative tulip wrappers are filled with a simple vanilla creme and frosted with our BSB signature butter, and then rolled in our freshly ground roasted peanuts.
